Tuesday 12th January 2027 - 10am - 4pm - Delivered Via Zoom

Workshop Description

Safeguarding Champions play a vital role in delivering safe care and keeping people safe from abuse. They work alongside Registered Managers and Safeguarding Leads to develop and embed a strong safeguarding culture within the service.

Safeguarding Champions are a key link between leadership and care staff, supporting their teams day-to-day, cascading knowledge and building confidence in recognising and responding to concerns.

By championing best practice, challenging poor standards and maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding, Safeguarding Champions ensure staff feel supported and confident in their safeguarding practice.

This interactive workshop is designed to help Safeguarding Champions understand:

  • Their role and responsibilities as a Safeguarding Champion
  • Safeguarding legislation, guidance and good practice
  • How organisational policies and procedures support effective safeguarding
  • The importance of effective information sharing
  • How to support and guide colleagues in their safeguarding practice
  • How to work effectively with the Registered Manager and Safeguarding Lead
