Good governance is essential for ensuring services are safe, effective, well led and compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements. Robust governance provides effective oversight of the quality and safety of care, identifies risks and areas for improvement to ensure that providers and managers are accountable for the services they deliver.
