Care Planning and Risk Assessment for Managers Workshop

Workshop Description

Care Planning

Robust and comprehensive Care Plans and Risk Assessments are essential to enable your staff team to effectively support clients and to ensure that you are providing safe care. Effective care planning also enables managers to demonstrate that risks are being identified, assessed and managed effectively.

This interactive workshop is designed to help adult social care managers understand:

  • What the Care Quality Commission (CQC) expects in relation to care planning and managing risks

  • What Regulation 9: Person Centred Care means in practice

  • What Regulation 12: Safe Care and Treatment means in relation to risk management

  • How to develop person centred Care Plans

  • How to identify, assess and manage risks effectively

  • How to ensure staff have the information and guidance they need to provide safe and effective care

  • How to conduct Care Plan Audits

Whether you are a new service, are preparing for a CQC inspection or looking to strengthen your existing care planning and risk assessment processes, this workshop will give you clear guidance, practical tools and greater confidence to develop effective, person-centred Care Plans, manage risks appropriately and meet your regulatory responsibilities.
